DIRECTIONS:
We offer two pickup locations. The Maritime Skiff and SeaCraft are located at Launch Pad Marina in the back of Jamaica Bay, literally right next to JFK airport. The Parker is located at Gateway Marina in Brooklyn, just a hop, skip and a jump from Lower Manhattan. We can also set up a car service to drop you off and pick you up. In addition, the Long Island Railroad runs from Penn Station to Inwood, just 5-mintues from Inwood Marina. Please call us for additional info and train schedules. Below are directions to each location:
Directions to the Launch Pad Marina: - 207 Davis Ave, Inwood, NY
Take the Midtown Tunnel to 495 to the Van Wyck Expressway South (678) towards JFK Airport. Take the Van Wyck (678) all the way down to the Nassau Expressway (878)... It can get a little tricky, but you will be okay if you just follow the signs to 878.... 878 dumps you onto Rockaway Blvd. Take Rockaway Blvd about 3-miles... Bear Right onto Nassau Expressway-878 (yes it's the same road.) After about ˝ a mile take a right on Burnside. Go though a series of strip-malls and gas stations. After you pass a high-school on your left Burnside turns into Sheridan Ave (still the same road). At the next traffic light the road will bear hard left. You’ll see a coffee shop and a package-goods store on the right and a sign for Inwood Golf Club on the left. Go one block and take your next right on Davis Ave. The Launch Pad Marina is at the end of the street on your right. Please park in the street. My cell phone is 718 791-2094 if you have any problems... Give yourself about 35-minutes from the tunnel to get there.
DIRECTIONS TO BOAT AT GATEWAY MARINA, BROOKLYN
From Manhattan: Take the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Gowanus Expressway 3.2 miles. Merge onto the Belt Parkway East via the exit on the left. Continue on the Belt Parkway approximately 11 miles to exit 11S (Flatbush Ave South). Merge onto Flatbush Ave and Gateway Marina is located 1/4 of a mile on your right. Give yourself about 30-minutes. From Points East: Take Belt Parkway West to Exit 11S (Flatbush Ave South). Merge onto Flatbush Ave and Gateway Marine is located 1/4 of a mile on your right. My cell phone is 718 791-2094 if you have any problems... Give yourself about 35-minutes from the tunnel to get there.
